I don’t do thoughts, they do me – until I question them. - Byron Katie.

Byron Katie - The Work

The Work by Byron Katie allows us to take inquiry to all our mental stories.

Is it true?
Can you absolutely know that this is true?
How do you react, what happens, when you believe that thought?
Who would you be without the thought?

When I judge another I create pain for myself – I am the one who is feeling the discomfort, all the feelings and thoughts, the judgments created are in my head where they hold fast and spin a story around the issue.

When I resist something I am uncomfortable, I can feel it in my body. To soothe it, I may seek agreement with others; does not everyone see this is wrong? – how can they do this? How do they get away with it? And more of us band together to agree and resist what is and fight for what is right!

What if we could end the war with what is?

What would it be worth to you to be happy and clear within yourself and the world around you? What if there was a practice that assisted you to find the truth, beyond the chatter of the mind, a mind, which needs and wants to be right, even if the story it tells is patently false, even if being right makes you unhappy.

To uncover such stories, to free ourselves from these erroneous patterns of beliefs and behavior, we have the benefits of Byron Katie’s inquiry. For more information, please visit www.byronkatie.com.

“There is only one problem, ever - your uninvestigated story in the moment.” Byron Katie

Once we learn to inquire into our thoughts, once we learn to be vigilant, we become free of the stories our minds tell us and which we believed were absolutely true – uncovering the real truth, we encounter ourselves for real, leaving out the interpretations and opinions of our thoughts.
